Simon Hellwig, Managing Director of Kalypso explains:“ We are very proud of this deal, which allows us to continue the development of well-known brands, to create a high potential of further growth and to secure some of the teams jobs as well.”

Im hoping that means yes :]

Sort of sounds like Ascaron might keep the rights to Sacred from reading that. They mention DarkStar One among the licenses acquired, but no mention of Sacred... however they do say that Ascaron UK will keep certain licenses until they expire.

Yeah I agree, no mention of Sacred. Wouldnt be surprised if they kept their big title, at least for now.

Studio 2 (subsidiary company of Ascaron) has the licence for Sacred 2 and the devs will continue working at the Addon as they did before.

Kalypso and the other devs will do something different with the old licences they bought. I really wish them good luck with that, they deserve it.

In a nutshell, the Addon is not affected by anything and will come as planned.

Ok, Anca....thanks for the clarification. Seems that Studio 2 may have gotten some cash from the sale of the old licenses. Good luck to both companies, indeed.
